u15 Report: 9th Feb 2019

Kings Lynn’s under 15s tournament was held at Soham Ross Peers Sports centre.  The team was up against Bedford, ECU, Letchworth Whites and Cottenham.

First game of the tournament was against Bedford.

Final score King Lynn 13 – 0 Bedford

Goal Scorers:

The second game was against ECU. King’s Lynn started the game slow giving ECU four goals up at half time. Goal keeper Imogen Senter made some fantastic saves but ECU still managed to find the back of the net with some precise slap shots, one of these causing injury to Imogen Senter.

In the second half Kings Lynn tried hard to turn the game around and help defend their goal. Alfie Poppy scored two goals but ECU managed to find another two goals.

Final Score: ECU 6 – 2 Kings Lynn

Third Game was against Cottenham. The first half of the game Ria Griffin found the back of the net. Kings Lynn played a good game of defence in the first half with Cottenham only scoring one goal too.

Second half Cottenham unfortunately got past the defence and goal keeper three more times.

Final score Cottenham 4 – 1 King’s Lynn

Kings Lynn’s fourth game was against Letchworth Whites. King’s Lynn had a good start to the game with Alfie Poppy scoring a goal within the first minute of the game. Letchworth Whites then put on the pressure and scored three goals in the first half.

In the second half King’s Lynn stepped up their defence but unfortunately Letchworth Whites scored one more goal.

Final score Letchworth Whites 4 – 1 King’s Lynn.
