The U13s King’s Lynn Rink Hockey team opened their season in the Eastern Counties league with their home tournament at Alive Lynnsport.
First up for Lynn were Peterborough RHC. Alfie Poppy the U13’s Captain was on the score board after 10 minutes of play, but Peterborough equalised two minutes later.
In the second half Jake Smith and Kevin Monk were working well together in defence holding off a strong attacks from Peterborough and with only a minute left on the clock the away team managed to score two goals. Final score 1 – 3
Final Score: King’s Lynn 1 – 3 Peterborough

Next two games saw strong competition from ECU and Cottenham RHC with the young King’s Lynn side losing 1 – 10 and 1 – 6. Alfie Poppy getting both home goals with assists from Alex Holford and Issac Kirk.
The last match of the day kept goalkeeper Lacey Vincent busy. Despite Alfie Poppy scoring five goals with Letchworth scored seven themselves to take the win.
Final Score: King’s Lynn 5 – 7 Letchworth
