Kings Lynn’s Premier League side set upon their travels up north for the reverse fixture against Manchester RHC looking to maintain their fine form from the first half of the season.
Lynn started the game slowly and were a goal down within a couple of minutes of play after an exciting start from the hosts. Lynn soon levelled with Josh Taylor finding the net from close range. A second soon followed for the travelling side when Ryan Barnes finished off a fine team move. Manchester replied almost immediately to level the game but Matt Baker took matters into his own hands and converted a neat wrap around to restore the lead for Lynn. Jack Tucker and Michael Carter then added to the scoreline before the half time break to send Lynn into the break with a 7 – 2 lead.
Half Time: Manchester 2 – 7 Kings Lynn
The second half began again with a fast start from Manchester who pulled a goal back. Lynn soon regained their control on the match and began to move the ball around showing great composure. Jack Tucker added a couple of goals to complete his hat trick followed by Jamie Griffin and Sergio Hutson adding goals of their own from the penalty spot. Tom Allander in the Lynn goal held his own making save after save caused by slack defending from Lynn however Michael Carter added two more goals to complete his third hat trick in as many games. Despite the away side dominating, Manchester added a fourth goal to the scoreboard with only 10s remaining.
Final Score: Manchester 4 – 13 Kings Lynn
Not the greatest performance from a strong Lynn side but none the less a further 3 points added to continue the unbeaten run.
