The Senior C Team were playing at Manningtree, in the Eastern Counties Roller Hockey Association Division 2 – Colchester Roller Hockey Club’s home tournament
The Division 2 team struggled with conditions on the rink in their first two games of the new season and lost both, to Colchester (2 – 6) and Cottenham (2 – 8).
Their last game of the day was against Norwich, and our young team finally got to grips with a very slippery surface. Norwich were a more experienced and physical team, however, Lynn got stuck in and allowed them to rack up team fouls. Half time we were 2 – 1 down but, with Norwich being on nine team fouls, Lynn started to control the game and got back into it with goals from Joseph and Callum, Norwich pinched another goal on the break, but after a frantic last five minutes the game finished 3 – 3.
A very hard earned point from the day.
Thanks to an excellent performance in goal from Eilidh, the scores could have been much different, and the team is already looking forward to next tournament.
