u15’s Red Match Report: 27th September 2014
A commendable start to the season for a young King’s Lynn team entering an experienced and fast paced U15’s Intermediates league.
The skill and speed demonstrated by Peterborough in their first match proved challenging, with team members finding it hard to manage the demands of attack and defence at a faster pace. Nevertheless, they remained positive throughout the match, with Ethan scoring their first goal of the season and Josh proving invaluable in goal. Final Score: Peterborough 9 – 1 King’s Lynn
Recognising the need to raise their game in order to compete at a higher level, King’s Lynn worked together to tighten defence in their second match against Letchworth, whilst creating opportunities for each other to have a shot at goal. A close match, King’s Lynn took the lead, with Ryan and Ethan scoring two goals each and Arthur and Jason demonstrating some effective man marking. Always consistent, Josh gave another outstanding performance in goal, making saves with his head which left his ears ringing!! Final Score: King’s Lynn 4 – 7 Letchworth
Gaining confidence from their performance in the second match, King’s Lynn went onto dominate their last game against Ely. Goals were scored by Joseph (1), Finn (2) and Ethan (1), with Ryan, Arthur and Jason narrowly missing the score sheet. Final Score Ely 1 – 4 King’s Lynn
