u11 Match Report: 26th April 2014
With only one tournament left to play, Kings Lynn u11’s put themselves 6 points clear at the top of the league, with four more excellent wins at Letchworth.
Our first game against Ely was a very comfortable 7 – 0 victory, with Ethan (6) & Ria scoring the goals to get us off to a good start.
Next up were the hosts, Letchworth. Ethan (3) was again on the score sheet and with Josh adding 2 more goals, Lynn completed a 5 – 1 win.
The third game of the day proved to be our toughest. Against Sudbury, we took a while to get going and at half time the score was close at 3 – 2. In the second half, Lynn upped their game and gradually took control, adding five more goals. Final score was 8 – 5.
Last game was against Walpole and after a slow start again, Ethan (2) and Josh (1) put us 3 – 1 up at the interval. Once again in the second half we stepped up a gear and added six more goals from Ethan (3), Arthur (2) and Ria, to run out 9 – 3 winners.
Yet again, a great set of results from the under 11’s, who look set to wrap up the league at Cambridge in a few weeks.
As always the whole team put in 100% on the day, and Joseph Hawes in goal was in excellent form yet again.
