Season Highlights
Eastern Counties Cup Finals Day
King’s Lynn had qualified for 5 of the Knockout Cup Finals to be played on the day, as well as having a team in the u9’s Round Robin.
The u9’s came 3rd out of 5 in the u9’s competition, being pipped by Ely in the last game, when Ely inflicted Lynn’s only defeat.
The teams on the day managed to win 3 of their matches, going down in the u15’s & u20’s, the last one lost on a Golden Goal.
Results:
- u11’s: King’s Lynn 4 – 1 Cottenham
- u13’s: Peterborough 4 – 8 King’s Lynn
- u15’s: Bury 5 – 4 King’s Lynn
- u17’s: Bury 2 – 3 King’s Lynn
- u20’s: Bury 4 – 3 King’s Lynn (Golden Goal)
Well done to all players & teams on the day as well as a big thank you to all those who helped behind the scenes.
The fundraisers also did well on the day with their stall, raising £58 on the day
National Cup Finals
King’s Lynn Win 2 National Cups
King’s Lynn had qualified for 2 National Cup Finals this year, in the u13 & u20 categories.
The teams had an early start this morning heading off to Herne Bay where the finals were to be held. Firstly the u13 team claimed victory in the first match beating their Eastern Counties rivals Peterborough 8-2.<
The u20’s played their part by claiming victory with a 7-3 win over HBU, even the team were missing some players from the qualifiers.
A very succesful day for the club with 2 wins out of 2.
If this wasn’t enough, the club were also recognised with Matthew Baker & Jack Tucker being awarded National Player of the Year awards:

2013 Dave Walters Cup
At last we can say that the season is finally over, and what way to end!
King’s Lynn travelled down to Kent, with two teams to the Bay Arena for the final tournament of the season –The Dave Walters Cup.
The under 9’s played three games against two teams from Herne Bay and one other local team, Maidstone. Lynn took third place after a thrilling 1 – 1 draw against HB2.
The u11’s final game was a 2 – 2 battle with HBU, but the draw was enough to ensure that the Lynn took the title of Dave Walters champions 2013.
King’s Lynn were also won two player awards:
- u9’s Goalie of the Tournament: Joseph Hawes
- u11’s Player of the Tournament: Ryan Howlett
