u15’s (Red) Match Report: 29th November 2014
This was our home tournament at Lynnsport
Our first game against Sudbury was a tough encounter. Lynn went behind early on and had to work hard to equalise. The goal was an outstanding team goal taken by Joseph after some great one touch passing from Fin and Ryan, which completely took out the Sudbury defence. Sudbury them managed to snatch another goal to lead 2 – 1 at half time.
In the second half the boys pulled together and were determined to get something from the game. Joseph equalised quickly, but this was followed by two Sudbury goals. Our youngsters still battled on to the end, and got a much deserved draw thanks to two late goals from Fin.
Final Score King’s Lynn 4 – 4 Sudbury
Our second game was against a much older and stronger Letchworth team, in which the youngsters struggled to break through their defence and lost the game 7 – 0.
Final Score King’s Lynn 0 – 7 Letchworth
Next up were Rickmansworth and Lynn proved too strong for them. At half time, the score was 6 – 0 to Lynn and the second half was much the same as Kings Lynn scored five goals without reply.
Final Score King’s Lynn 11 – 0 Rickmansworth
The last game of the day against Cottenham was a real struggle. The boys were shattered and with only one sub on the day, they failed to take advantage of an early lead. Cottenham equalised quickly and continued to attack our goal. Thanks to Josh’s heroics in goal, throwing himself at every shot, we managed to stay in touch, only to concede three late goals. Final score 4 – 1.

As always the team gave it everything, with every member battling right to the very end.
