Josh Gay is Fundraising
Club Player Josh Gay will be taking part with friends and family in The Three Peaks Challenge.
To raise funds for the Hospice At Home Team and the MNDA (Motor Neurone Disease Association) family and friends will attempt on June 24th 2017 the National Three Peak Challenge in 24 hours, which involves climbing the three highest peaks in England, Wales and Scotland. Scafell Pike, Snowdon & Ben Nevis.
Back in January we lost my Uncle Ellis to a disease that only affects 2 in every 100,000 people. This condition was Motor Neurone Disease (MND).
The basic effect of MND is to prevent its sufferer from being able to perform a host of basic functions not limited to walking, speaking and breathing. It does this by progressively causing severe damage to crucial parts of the nervous system.
