u9’s Report
Under 9’s Team:
Joseph Hawes (G), Joe Crawford, Myah Easter, Ria Griffin and Miles Hovell.
Our first game of the day was against Maidstone. This proved a real battle for our young team and at half time we were 5 – 0 down.
In the second half the team worked hard, scoring 2 goals (Miles Hovell and Ria Griffin), though Maidstone also managed to score one more, leaving the end result as a 6 – 2 win to Maidstone.
Next they played a very strong Herne Bay 1 team. This was a tough match especially as we had no subs and ended in a 10 – 0 defeat.
The last match for the under 9’s was against Herne Bay 2. We needed at least a draw to finish in 3rd place. All the players worked really hard and we managed to achieve our target, holding the game 0 – 0.
Congratulations to Joseph Hawes who came away with best goalie for under 9’s!
