Premier League: Kings Lynn RHC v Manchester 7th October 2017

On Saturday 7th October Kings Lynn RHC began their new Premier League season at home against Manchester RHC.

The game started brightly for the hosts as they raced into an early two goal lead. The first coming through Ryan Barnes with the second from Jack Tucker through the narrowest of angles. Lynn soon had a third on the board, this time a fearsome shot from Sergio Hutson rippled the net to the delight of the home support.

Half Time: Kings Lynn RHC 3 – 0 Manchester

Into the second half and again it was Kings Lynn who started the brighter of the two sides and Matthew Baker soon found the net with a neat wrap-a-round effort. Despite enjoying the majority of the possession Lynn conceded many needless fouls and the travelling side were soon awarded a direct free hit. Tom Allander, who pulled on the Lynn jersey for the first time following his summer move, confidently saved the effort to keep the clean sheet heading into the last 15 minutes. Jamie Griffin then added two more to the Lynn score. One of which coming after some slick passing pulling the defending side out of position and finishing the ball convincingly into the back of the net. Josh Taylor then added a couple to the scoreboard after some slack defending from Manchester.
