King’s Lynn U13’s travelled to Peterborough on Saturday for their second tournament of the season.
They took on Letchworth, Cottenham & Peterborough.
The first game was challenging for the team as they faced a Letchworth who weere sitting in second place in the league. Letchworth winning 13 – 0
Game two against Cottenham and saw Lynn find their feet managing to score a total of four goals, two from Issac Kirk and two goals from their Captain Billy Davey. Even with our much stronger defence it was not enough to keep Cottenham at bay. Cottenham finally winning 9 – 4.
Game three saw another goal from Kirk after the sixth minute, but with many opportunities the goals did not fall right for Lynn Final score was 6 – 1 to Peterborough.
Lynn showed brilliant team work and sportsmanship during their first away meeting, they should all feel very proud of themselves.
Their next tournament is in November at the ECU Blue home tournament, Ross Peers Sports Centre.
